Sri Lanka Telecom is a state-owned telecom operator in Sri Lanka. In 2013, the Sri Lanka Government awarded Sri Lanka Telecom the role of ‘national backbone network service provider.’ Under this license, Sri Lanka Telecom is the sole National Backbone Network (NBN) provider in Sri Lanka, providing the fiber-optic backbone to other telecom operators in Sri Lanka.

Hutch (Sinhala: ஹட்ச்) is a Sri Lankan service provider and the country’s third largest mobile network operator, with approximately 4.2 million subscribers in the Sri Lankan mobile market as of June 2021.
Hutch is a CK Hutchison Holdings Limited subsidiary with an 85% controlling stake in the company, while Emirates Telecommunication Group Company PJSC holds the rest. Initially, it was called “CallLink” and was the second mobile operator in Sri Lanka. Hutchison acquired its services in 1998 to be a nationwide operator in Sri Lanka. As of September 2018, Hutch has network coverage of approximately 90% of the entire island. Hutch announced that they acquired Etisalat on 30-November, 2018.

Airtel (Sinhala: එයාටෙල්, Tamil: ஏர்டெல்) is the brand name of the mobile network operator, Bharti Airtel Lanka (Pvt) Ltd, the Sri Lankan subsidiary of Indian multinational telecommunications company. The company was awarded a mobile phone operator license in 2006 and was scheduled to start operations in early 2007. However, the company didn’t commence services until 12 January 2009, with approximately 2.9 million subscribers on the Sri Lankan mobile market as of March 2022.
Bharti Airtel Limited is a leading global telecommunications company operating in 18 countries across Asia and Africa. Headquartered in New Delhi, India, the company ranks amongst the top 3 mobile service providers globally in terms of subscribers. It offers 2G, 3G, and 4G wireless services and mobile commerce in the rest of the geographies. Bharti Airtel had over 418 million customers across its operations at the end of December 2019.
Bharti Airtel Lanka commenced commercial operations of services in Sri Lanka in 2009 and was the fastest operator to reach 1 million customers. Kelani Cables Ltd

Kelani Cables Ltd. was founded in 1969 as an import-substitute manufacturer during the controlled-economy era. Initially, components such as drawn wire were imported, but over time, the company commenced the manufacture of this commodity at its factory. Hence, Kelani is the pioneer in Sri Lanka’s wire drawing industry. In 1973, KCL was incorporated as a quoted public limited liability company to manufacture power cables, telecommunications cables, and enameled winding wires in Sri Lanka.

C and D International (Pvt) Limited was established in 2009 as a Distributor and Agent for ICT Products. In 2018 it started R & D, manufacturing passive fiber optic products, Electrical Enclosures, Cable Management Systems, Network Racks, and Other ELV products with the support of its state of art Machinery.
It is Located at Olaboduwa, Gonapola in Kaluthara District, Sri Lanka, and certified by ISO 9001:2015 Management System. Products manufactured under the brand of C&D with ROHS, IP66, and Telecordia -326-CORE certifications.
They are the sole Distributor in Sri Lanka and Mole for world leader XGXC Telecommunication Test and measuring equipment manufacturing Company in China. Sunil telecom of South Korea, an Optical Fiber Closures manufacturer, is another Principal Partner for them for optical fiber closures.
They are one of the reputed manufacturers and suppliers of Sri Lanka Telecom PLC. They offered them the largest optical fiber closure supply orders since 2012. They play a significant role in the new PON network development of SLT by supplying Optical Fiber Patch Panels, Optical Fiber Distribution Cabinets, Optical Fiber Cables, Optical Fiber Patch Cords, and Indoor and Outdoor Fiber Termination Cabinets.
